It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Joseph DePalma Sr, who lost his battle with cancer on July 19, 2021. He died peacefully surrounded by his family. Everyday we celebrate the life of a great man – the best father, grandfather, husband, son, uncle, brother and Capitol Police Detective.
On July 21, 2021, The United States Capitol lowered its flag to half mast in honor of the passing of retired USCP Detective Joe DePalma.
